Swap Equipment when time slots are filled

When all equipment is full for a timeslot on the same day, and a customer has to go out on a different boat other than the one they are assigned to on waverez, right now there is no quick/easy way to move boats around when every equipment is full. The system will give you an error and won’t allow you to swap equipment. But maybe after it gives you the error that that equipment is already filled, it will give you the option to either auto swap the products or possibly temporarily overbook that time slot. In the attached screenshot you can see an example of a product that was temporarily overbooked in another system and it highlights it on the “matrix”, then you can go back into the overbooked equipment and move it back. That would work best for two pieces of equipment that need to be swapped but the departure times aren’t at the same time but are overlapping a bit. We track each boat on GPS and for insurance purposes, we need to make sure the boat they are on matches up. Sometimes the staff might need to send customers out on a boat that they aren’t originally signed up for on waverez due to a boat coming back early/late but find it hard to do if we are really booked up. In the example below, say we had to move Pete… down to the blocked slot because the boat he is supposed to go out on is late, the system won’t allow it because Maza… is using the product during part of the reservation in the future. The ideal situation would be a function to drag and drop reservations into an equipment slot on the matrix, kind of like some staff scheduling programs allow you to drag shifts for a certain day between different employees ( I can show you an example of what I am talking about). But it wouldn’t change it right away, it would allow you to drag reservations vertically in the matrix, while they are locked horizontally (allowing to temporarily put multiple reservations to be stacked on one equipment at the same time). This would be in a “draft mode” where live changes wouldn’t be made until you would hit a “publish button”. The system would give an alert if something is overbooked before publishing. If this sounds confusing, I can clarify in a call.
